A Bedroom Media Wall Transformation in Los Angeles

A plain TV wall became a defining feature of this Los Angeles bedroom. The completed installation combines a marble-look finish, an integrated television, a linear electric fireplace, and soft perimeter lighting—all within one clean rectangular composition.

Before: A TV on an Otherwise Empty Wall

The original wall held a mounted television with visible cables running down toward the outlets. Its broad, undecorated surface offered an opportunity to bring more character to the room while keeping the existing bedroom layout.

The project focused on this wall, creating a backdrop that works with the room’s light wood flooring, neutral furnishings, and crown molding.

The Design: Stone-Inspired Texture and Soft Light

The design concept explored a pale, veined finish, a fireplace below the TV, and concealed lighting around the feature. The visualization helped show how these elements could work together within the bedroom.

The completed version takes a more streamlined approach: a flat rectangular face without the projecting hearth shown in the concept. The television and fireplace sit within the composition, while light around the edges gives the wall a floating effect.

Installation: Building the Structure Behind the Finish

The progress photos show the structure taking shape, with separate openings prepared for the television and fireplace. Before the final surface was complete, the supporting framework and wiring locations remained accessible.

The next stage added the glossy marble-look cladding and fireplace insert. The TV opening was still exposed, showing how the equipment would fit into the finished wall.

After: One Complete Bedroom Feature

The finished wall brings the screen and fireplace together against a continuous field of soft beige and gray veining. Slim black borders define the two openings, while the surrounding finish keeps the overall design simple.

Perimeter lighting washes the adjacent wall and floor with a gentle glow. Together with the fireplace, it adds an ambient layer of light to the bedroom’s seating area.
