Two built-in display units turn this Tampa interior into a space for books, art, and personal collections. White shelving, varied niche sizes, and warm lighting create an architectural feature around an existing doorway.
A Layout That Makes Room for Different Pieces
The shelving combines tall vertical openings, wide horizontal shelves, and smaller compartments. This varied arrangement provides places for objects of different proportions—from a tall vase to a row of books or a framed photograph.
Each unit has its own layout, while matching finishes and detailing connect the two sides.
Lighting That Highlights Every Niche
Small recessed lights illuminate the display openings from above, bringing depth to the shelving and highlighting the objects placed inside. The warm light contrasts softly with the white finish and surrounding gray walls.
Even before the shelves are fully styled, the illuminated compartments give the room a distinct focal point.
Built Around the Existing Room
The two units fit into the wall sections on either side of the doorway, keeping access clear. Matching base trim anchors the shelving and helps it feel integrated with the room.
The result combines open storage with a display feature that can evolve as books, artwork, and collections change.
