Two Ways to Build Custom Built-Ins
We select the construction method based on the style of the home, intended use, storage requirements, budget, and level of detailing needed.
Custom built-ins can be created with traditional painted cabinetry or modern factory-finished TFL panels. Both methods can deliver a polished, permanent result, but they differ in appearance, detailing, finish options, construction process, and maintenance.
Painted plywood and MDF are well suited for shaker doors, crown molding, decorative trim, custom paint colors, and more traditional architectural designs. TFL systems are ideal for clean contemporary layouts, flat-panel doors, durable wood-look finishes, and consistent factory-applied surfaces.
